Agenda
본 프로젝트는 비눗방울이라는 사소하지만 찰나의 현상에서 출발한다. 비눗방울은 금세 사라지지만, 그 순간 동안 투명한 구의 형태와 빛의 간섭으로 생겨나는 무지갯빛이 드러난다. 본 프로젝트는 이처럼 순간적이고 덧없는 아름다움을 포착하여, 형태와 빛으로 지속가능한 조형으로 확장하는 과정을 탐구한다.
작품의 핵심은 무지갯빛을 구의 외부로 확장하는 데 있다. 비눗방울의 표면에 머무는 빛을 외부로 끌어내어 세 개의 레이어를 형성한다. 빛과 색이 얇은 막 위에만 머무르지 않고 구체의 외부로 뻗어나가 감싸는 구조로 재구성했다. 이 레이어들은 빛과 상호작용하며 새로운 시각적 경험을 만든다. 작품은 ‘빛이 형태를 정의하고, 형태가 다시 빛을 재구성’ 하는 순환적인 관계를 드러낸다. 이를 통해 관람자는 일상 속에서 쉽게 흘려보내는 짧은 장면들이 얼마나 깊은 의미와 울림을 가질 수 있는지 조형을 통해 다시금 마주하게 된다.
This project begins with the fleeting and delicate phenomenon of soap bubbles. Though they disappear in an instant, in that brief moment one can observe the transparent spherical form and the iridescent hues born from light interference. This work captures such transient beauty and explores how it can be extended into a lasting sculptural form through light and structure.
The core of the project lies in expanding the iridescence beyond the boundary of the sphere. By drawing the light that lingers on the surface outward, three layers are formed. Light and color are no longer confined to a thin membrane but are restructured to extend beyond, enveloping the spherical form. These layers interact with light to create new visual experiences. The work reveals a cyclical relationship in which light defines form, and form in turn redefines light. Through this, viewers are invited to rediscover how even the most fleeting moments of everyday life can hold profound meaning and resonance when reframed through light and form.
